Rejoice Lutheran Church Geneva Illinois

Growing Our Relationships

Rejoice welcomes you and invites you to become a part of our dynamic congregation and asks you to help us to realize our seasonal priorities.  In the coming months we believe God is calling us to do three things well:

  • grow in our relationships with God,
  • grow in our relationships with each other,
  • grow the relationships with people who are not yet part of this community of faith.

By giving our best to these relationships we will fulfill our mission and make:

Rejoice a Place where God is Experienced,
Community is Shared, and Lives are Changed

Join us for worship

We invite you to come to join us for one of our services and experience an atmosphere that is relaxed with messages are relevant to your daily life. Adult Mission Trips

Every day, in a million ways, members of the Lutheran Church are making the world a better place. In the far reaches of the globe, and right here in our neighborhoods. Lutherans aren’t folks who simply talk about their beliefs, we put them into action, whether that’s by making meals to share, helping friends through a time of need or maybe serving as part of a mission trip.

On a short-term mission trip (STM), you serve as a witness and ambassador for Christ wherever it may be, locally or internationally, in order to share the love of Christ. STMs are about serving and showing God’s love for people by meeting practical needs, and thereby gaining an audience for sharing His truth, and leaving the rest up to Him.

Again Jesus said, “… As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” – John 20:21.

A Rejoice STM is the mobilization of Rejoice church staff and members for a short period of time ranging from several days to weeks and months; short-term missions are usually called mission trips and typically involve the missionary in travel away from a home base.

Children’s Ministry at Rejoice

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” – Matthew 19:14

Rejoice’s Children’s Ministry is Christ centered and child-focused.  Through Sunday school, youth groups, summer VBS and other events throughout the year, our mission is to help kids know, love and follow Jesus as they grow in their relationship and service to Him and to others. Here at Rejoice we are continually growing a strong, thriving ministry where kids are loved and volunteers are valued; a place where the life-changing truth of Scripture becomes a life-long reality for every child that walks through our door.

Our nursery, staffed by a trained supervisor, is available downstairs for little ones (3 and under) if you would like them to be cared for during worship.

Take a moment to register your child for our exciting Children’s Ministry at Rejoice!

Matrix Middle School Ministry

“Helping students know, live, own, and share their faith in Jesus Christ.”

Matrix is Rejoice’s middle school ministry, specifically designed to serve students in grades 6-8. All students are welcome – whether your family are members of Rejoice or not. Through interactive and fun group lessons, games, small group activities and community service projects, Matrix is where middle school students get together, share a meal together, hang out and learn about God, His word and how that impacts their unique world. Our mission is to help students know, live, own and share their faith in Jesus Christ!  Click here to learn more about the different elements that make up our Matrix program.

To register your student for the 2017-2018 Matrix year, click here.

The program runs September through May, every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:45 pm. Additionally, students are offered the opportunity to declare their personal faith in Jesus Christ at the rite of Confirmation.

Summit High School Ministry

Who We Are

Summit is a gathering of high school students in grades 9-12 who are on a journey together to discover what it really means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.  We invite ALL students – whether you are a Rejoice member, searching for a church, or attending a different church – to join us on this journey.  Click here to register your student for our 2017-2018 Summit year.

What We Do

Summit meets Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:45 PM downstairs at Rejoice.  During our time together we will share a meal, spend time hanging out with your friends while learning from the Bible and discussing topics that hit close to home for you.

A few times a year we will have the opportunity to travel together.  Whether it’s camping at the Dunes by Lake Michigan, a New Year’s Eve ski trip to Wisconsin, or heading up to the Wisconsin Dells for our annual winter getaway weekend, it’s an opportunity to hang out, have fun and get to know each other better.  Additionally, each summer our high school students are given a life-changing opportunity for spiritual growth and to connect deeper with God and each other through oursummer week-long trips.

Click here to contact Mike Willis, our Youth Minister, if you have a question or would like more information about our Summit High School Ministry.
